On November 11, the opening ceremony of 2022 employment training program was held at Guizhou University (GZU), financed by a special lottery fund allocated by the Ministry of Finance. Linghu Caitao, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee of GZU, attended the ceremony.

In her speech, Linghu noted that, in light with the guiding principles from the 20th National Congress of the CPC and Xi Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, GZU has attached great importance to the employability of its graduates, making efforts to help with their employment so that they can achieve their full potential in the position where they are needed, and thus consolidate the nation’s fruitful results in poverty alleviation.

GZU places great emphasis on the training program, she said. In accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Department of Education of Guizhou Province, GZU will ensure the effectiveness of the program with the student-oriented approach. To help the graduates overcome their weaknesses in job seeking, GZU will focus on enhancing their overall quality and employability with all types of resources, scientific design of training system and curriculum, high-quality teaching faculty and effective conduction of training online and offline. The graduates are expected to put into practice what they have learned, thus stand themselves out in employment market and contribute to the society.

During the ceremony, Linghu conferred the letters of appointment to the off-campus instructors providing guidance on employment and entrepreneurship.

Afterwards, a signing and awarding ceremony of Off-campus Internship Sites for Graduates was held between Susun Group and the Office of Admission and Employment of GZU.

The training program has been carried out by Ministry of Education since 2021, aiming at promoting college graduates’ employability, and GZU is in the list of 135 training sites nationwide. In the first half of 2022, GZU offered training services for 7 universities through visiting teaching. Presently, over 400 graduates have participated in the training program. The training will be carried out through various forms: intensive instruction, lectures, site visits and face-to-face interactions with HR. The intensive courses consist of analysis of positions and personal strengths, collection and sorting of employment information, cover letter writing and improvement of writing skills, interview techniques and mindset adjustment, aiming at helping the graduates distinguish themselves in the employment market, win over the interviewers and thus increase their chances of obtaining a job offer.
