GZU Honored with First Prize in Video Contest

On November 22, an award ceremony for “Understanding China’s New Era” was held in Beijing. The short video Guizhou Bridges (“桥”见贵州) , shot by the College of International Education, Guizhou University (GZU), was awarded the first prize. The contest received a total of 3,688 works from international students from 133 countries studying in 196 universities across China.

This contest featuring Themed Essay, Photography and Short Video was jointly organized by CPC Center for International Exchanges, Contemporary World Magazine, China Road and Bridges Corporation, China Xinhua News Network Corporation, and co-organized by China Scholarship Council.

Leaders of the College of International Education of GZU including Jin Kejian, secretary of the CPC Committee, Gan Xiaoqin, deputy secretary of the CPC Committee, and Zhou Bin, deputy director of the Office of International Relations watched the ceremonial event on line, together with some GZU international student representatives.
