GZU Hosts 2024 International Conference on AI, Cybersecurity, and Wireless

From July 14 to 16, the 2024 International Conference on AI, Cybersecurity, and Wireless Technologies, hosted by Guizhou University and co-organized by the Guizhou Computer Society and Xidian University, was held in Guiyang. The event drew more than 200 participants, including experts and scholars from renowned institutions in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Australia, as well as faculty and students from Guizhou University.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Wang Jinrong, Vice President of Guizhou University, delivered a welcome speech, expressing gratitude to the leaders, experts, and participants for their support of academic research in Guizhou. He extended his best wishes for the conference’s success. Professor Peng Changgen, Chairman of the Guizhou Computer Society, provided an overview of advancements in artificial intelligence and big data in Guizhou and discussed future research directions. The opening was chaired by Professor Tian Youliang, Vice Dean of the College of Computer Science and Technology at Guizhou University.

Keynote speakers included leading experts such as Professor Ma Jianfeng from Xidian University, Professor Fang Yugang from City University of Hong Kong, Professor Li Baochun from the University of Toronto, Professor Cao Jiannong from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Professor Fu Xiaoming from the University of Göttingen, and Professor Yu Shui from the University of Technology Sydney. They addressed critical topics in cybersecurity, AI safety, wireless and mobile networks, edge computing, and distributed systems, etc. The conference aimed to promote international collaboration, enhance knowledge exchange, and explore innovative solutions to key technological challenges. It also focused on cutting-edge research in AI, cybersecurity, and wireless technologies.

The conference is expected to contribute significantly to the development of research capabilities in information technology, particularly advancing Guizhou University’s programs in computer science, cybersecurity, and big data.
